Not here. Had Rosebud written "Wuapinmon sucks" across her boobs in her avatar, I might have voted for her. Boobs > toes.

Maybe this is just a Lingo retort.... but I'd like to remind you SoCal that while 71's sweet cheerleader doesn't read this board, I do. She made the choice to wear that top and allow herself to be photographed. Fine by me. She looks happy enough. 71 makes the choice to use the photograph. IMO, he's being disrespectful towards women in doing so..... but that's his choice. It seems popular enough around here.

OTOH, I have NOT chosen to dress in a too-small top and write "Wuapinmon sucks" across my chest. That was my choice. Because I am not choosing to act like an object, it is in good taste that you not speak as if I am one. This isn't a locker room. If you'd like to exclude the women here and make it one, take it up with Lebowski. I'm sure you'll have some incredibly original things to discuss.

I am not mocking or disrespecting this young lady. To suggest so is to suggest she is doing something to disrespect. For all any of us know she has a PHD in Physics and she enjoys cheerleading like I enjoy golfing.

In my opinion, her greatest attribute is her awesome smile.

I miss the subtle charm of yet another woman telling me that I suck. Your new one, even with the Clue rope, lacks the originality of your initial attempt to smack me down. I'm a little intrigued by the rope....are you giving yourself just enough rope to hang yourself. Are the apples "clues" that you have an Adam's Apple, and are really a man? Are they meant to look like two boobs (with piercings)? I like the new avatar, but I'll always think of Zion, when I sit down by the rivers of Babylon and weep.

He originally posted it to make a point that beautiful women shouldn't be objectified, but also that it shouldn't be assumed that they're seeking objectification, either.

He chose the woman in the photo over all the zillions of other cheerleader photos out there because, I assume, she has this incredibly charismatic smile and sparkling eyes and it's so readily apparent that she's full of energy and vitality and fun and so on; and further, that she genuinely loves dancing with the dance team. She's far from a run-of-the-mill lifeless, soulless, fungible pin-up girl.

Notice that I didn't say you were being disrespectful to this "young lady." My guess is that she'd enjoy the attention she's being given here. I said that you were being disrespectful (IMO) to women in general. It is my opinion that posting a picture that is obviously (at least to me) about her breasts then talking only about her smile objectifies her -- no matter what the history of the pic is among posters here. Even though I'm not interested in breasts I saw the pic at least five times before I saw her happy face.

But 71, I don't mean this at all as a personal attack against you. I think you're great, I enjoy your posts and I'm glad that the sweet girl in your picture was having such a good day when the shot was taken.

Well... he missed the picture taking part.... but seeing as how you asked, I showed him the avatar and asked for his opinion. He completely misinterpreted it (not telling you what he said). I suggested he read the thread then try again but he seemed pretty noncommittal.

Of course... I didn't put the words "young lady" in quotes to suggest that he was belittling her. I actually thought that from his perspective he used the word "lady" to show respect.
