So I step away for a minute or two and the system logs me out. Is this normal?

Just wondering why this is happening or if there is something I can do to fix it..

    Thank you...

No idea. Never happens to me.

    Anyone else experience this?

Check the remember password box and it will keep you logged in.

This happens to me when I log in from my laptop. Hitting the "remember password" doesn't keep it from logging you out, BTW.

Always at work. I think there's like a 15 minute logout period. I haven't checked the remember password thing at work because I didn't want sensitive SE secrets to run around the local medical community.

Doesn't happen at home because the computer remembers my password. D-Hole's full of crap.

OK, I just investigated and there is a 15-minute inactivity setting. If you are inactive for longer than that period of time, it automatically logs you out. But I am quite sure that if you tell it to keep you logged in (check the box when you log in), you won't have this problem.

I could change it to a longer period I suppose.

It's no big deal.. I can just deal with it.. But if it is not that big of a change can you move the inactivity setting back to say.. 25 minutes? 15 minutes seem short when I get going at work etc...

I'd support that . I'm annoyed at how often I have to log in and I don't want to use the remember password feature.

I changed it to 30 minutes.
