And will be a complete hack and steal not only his format, but most of his questions as well:
How did you find CUF?
I've been here from the beginning, one could say even the pre-mortal life of CUF known as CG, where I was also there from the beginning. I am an original member of what was once known on CB as the "CougarGuard Thugs"
How did you choose your moniker?
Years ago when I first joined CB, I lived in Flower Mound, TX. So I am one of the legion of posters with geographically incorrect monikers. Some say it now stands for Fat Man.
What do you do (other than read CUF)?
For work, I am an IT Geek. (specifically a SQL Server DBA). The first 10 years or so were a blast but I am burned out an ready for a career change ... but there is that pesky income/family thing to deal with so I plod along.
I have hobby OCD/ADD so I flit from one thing to another, never getting really good at any of them. Right now my big thing is smoking / BBQ. I have also taken up fishing and hope one day to include catching in this hobby. This winter I hope to get my shop set up and get into woodworking. One thing that I have found to keep me sane work-wise is to have hobbies / stuff I do outside of work that is as un-technical as it can be.
Our big thing as a family is RVing. We have a motorhome and travel all over with it. Once the kids are out of the house, we fully intend to be one of those crazy old couples who live in their RV and travel all over. Right now I have a black lab but after she dies I expect we'll have to get an ankle biter to complete the picture.
Did you ever consider an alternative career path?
Not really. I have been a computer geek since long before it was fashionable. Some say true geeks are born not made. I tend to agree with this.
How many time zones have you lived in and what is your current time zone?
Four. Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern. Current time zone is Mountain.
How many states have you lived in?
10 if you count my mission to PA.
How many states have you road tripped to/through in your RV?
19
What are your sports loyalties?
Cougars. My interest in sports has waned over the years, primarily due to the fact that I have all daughters and they are just not into it. As of now I've pretty much devolved into rabid BYU football fan and casual BYU Basketball fan and that's about it.
What's your standing in the church?
On paper / at first glance I am your typical 30-something Mormon. RM, temple marriage, wife and 4 kids, etc. But I converted to the Church at age 15. My childhood was spent in foster homes and ultimately a group home run by the Freemasons (where I converted believe it or not) so the typical Mormon thing doesn't really fit there. I think most on CUF would consider me part of the orthodox crowd, though I wouldn't necessarily say that.
Are you looking forward to Wuap's welcome question and what do you think it will be?
Absolutely, though it will most likely be something I have to google in order to know what he's even asking.
