Should have been clear to us from the missing "n" in Raketenmensch (Raketenmann?). The Elton John part, I mean.

Is that correct? The "n" denotes plurality; whereas the lack of an "n" denotes singular rocket. I'd have to check my rules on combining words if it is necessary to add the "n" when you are making compound nouns.
