My formal intro as a full-time, exclusive CUF poster...
Well if you have no plans to post much and anything you do here is simply an attempt to humor yourself, I see no reason to extend you a long leash. I have deleted your avatar and signature picture. Keep them tame from here on out or else.
This must be an example of your aforementioned attempt at humor.
Nah, just noting with interest that one of the major items that was the impetus for this site (quick moderation on Cougarboard) seems to have migrated here as well. I guess "appropriate" depends on who's in charge ("it pays to be king").
Are there rules that outline what's appropriate or not?

Reason: Didn't mean to imply quick moderation was the SOLE reason. Sorry

No. Just try to take subtle and not-so-subtle hints. If you want to post something that may offend others' sensibilities, use the spoiler feature; keep your avatar tasteful; don't be sexist or racist.

The impetus for this site (be it major or minor) has nothing to do with Cougarboard. what are you talking about?
It would be nice to have new quality posters stick around. If you want to participate, welcome. If you want to constantly reference other boards, your time is probably better spent on those boards.

It takes a long time to work your way into this board's culture. I stumble still after years of being here. Generally, the board looks down on boorish postings (except for smokymountainrain, that guy gets away with murder), especially ones that are demeaning or objectifying of women. Several of our best posters are of the fairer sex, and we value their participation enough to not do stuff to make them feel unwelcome or uncomfortable. There are occasions where someone will cross a line, but usually after a not-so-gentle reprimand from other users, the person will realize that it wasn't cool and repent. I used to talk about my wife's large breasts all the time, but I learned, after no small amount of hazing, that that wasn't cool. You came in and reacted recalcitrantly to some gentle prodding about your avatar. Now, you're acting like JohnnyLingo.
I've only ever seen JeffLebowski do what he did to you maybe 2-3 times in four years. That should tell you something about how lightly moderated this board is.

In the spirit of transparency, I am willing to acknowledge a double standard that I believe should exist in the form of an avatar exemption for A-Train.

Just so BYUMBA90 knows, GoatNapper gets away with a lot w/r/t boob talk. I'm not sure why that is the case (sort of like why Bill Belichek liked Chad Johnson's Cicinatti shenangigans; sometimes everyone knows it is out of a sincere sense of humor and not out of being a self-indulgent ass).

Sheesh. If you're looking for an apology for my rude comment about your brother the other day, you win. I'm sorry.
Ah, well, sorry to upset everybody's sensitivities.

You made a rude comment about my brother? See what I mean, byuMBA90? Dude gets away with so much crap, people don't even notice when he insults their brother.
