    Hi

    I'm back.

I'm just going to assume I don't need to introduce myself.

There are kind of a lot of new people over here. Plus, it might not hurt to get off to a new start.

Fair enough. I joined Cougarboard in March of 2004, racked up 16,000 posts there before getting perma-banned for harassing one of the mods after he banned me for 3 days for calling Mike Waters a troll.

I graduated from BYU-Idaho last December, now live in Idaho Falls working as a writer/editor for a magazine publishing company there.

Grew up in the Salt Lake valley, and am your typical BYU\Jazz fan, though neither team gives much reason for cheering lately.

I'm politically conservative, though have been leaning towards libertarianism ever since the last presidential election.

        And I'm a mullah.

          Rookie.

I am sincerely happy to see you here. I hope you haven't seen a psychologist while you were away and gotten your act together. I liked you how you were.

MikeWaters wasn't exactly popular over there. Sounds like you were already on a short leash. This is like saying the first world war began because Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated.

Probably an accurate interpretation of the events.

That said, three days for calling a spade a spade was unbelievable.

I am sincerely happy to see you here. I hope you haven't seen a psychologist while you were away and gotten your act together. I liked you how you were.
I'll do my best to live up to your expectations. I think.

Oh, and one thing I forgot to mention... I don't see the internet as a place to make friends. Message boards, to me, are great for exchanging ideas, not for creating lifelong buddies. While I respect certain posters more than others, I have never and will never suggest we hang out when they're in my neck of the woods.

I've learned that having this attitude means that no one has your back when things get heated, and I can live with that.

Take it for what it's worth.

That's too bad. I was just about to suggest we grab a bite when I'm up in IF at my cousin's wedding next month.

Oh, I understand that. I know people who met online and have become great friends. It's just not something I'm interested in.

It may help you to know I've been in my current ward for five months and haven't made any friends* yet, and I'm fine with that.
