welcome, sparky. I am pleased you chose the pellegrino-approved template to introduce yourself.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

        Welcome, Welcome

At least your not a lawyer

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

Awesome, another BYU Fan. Not enough of them around here. Welcome!
          Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Sparky, please answer the following question, but consider your response carefully, as our future dealings on this site may hinge, in no small part, on your answer to the following question:

Inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park lies Cades Cove, a beautiful place. The Oliver family settled the valley in the 1820's, and in the 1920's, they were promised that the federal government would not seize their land. Shortly thereafter, the State of Tennessee declared a lupine eminent domain and launched a condemnation suit, which John W. Oliver, a notorious moonshiner, won, only to lose later against the feds--the family still pines for their lands. Moonshine, or corn liquor, is illegal, and the Appalachian mountains still hold tales of stills up in the hills. Steven Stills sang many songs about Judy Collins, including "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" in which he intones:

Que linda me la traiga Cuba
La reina de la mar caribe
Cielo sol no tiene sangre allĂ*
Y que triste que no puedo vaya
                Oh va, oh va, va
Cuba is home to the Isle of Pines where Fidel Castro was imprisoned for his attack on the Moncada barracks. A Castro has led Cuba since 1959, when Dwight D. Eisenhower was President. Ten Presidents later (Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama) the Brothers Castro continue to rapine Cuba in the name of socialism. The supine, "To pine" means to long for something, and being from Georgia, I do often miss the moonlight through the pines in my home state. Georgia's pines are indeed famous, and the most famous of all (The Eisenhower Loblolly) grows on the Masters in Augusta. President Eisenhower used to hit it so often that he once famously suggested in a meeting that it be cut down. Not wanting to embarrass a sitting president, the presiding officer immediately adjourned the meeting rather than tell him "no." Telling Castro "no" has been a favorite activity for US Presidents since BYU71 started high school, so, the question remains, if you were the next President, what do you opine about the American embargo against Cuba?
"Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.
The rest of us rarely bother to think about our actions." --Solon

Fortunately, y'all will take so long planning your takeover that it will never come to fruition.

Hola Wuapinmon, it's an honor. This Idaho hick knows very little about the island other than cigars, old cars, Guantanamera, and the Castros are pricks. If you're asking if a President Sparky would seek to change history and work to warm relations between the two nations, I guess the answer lies in the answer to this: Does the climate of Cuba lend itself to the production of certain tropical treasures, like say, bananas?

We're Americans and we will have our damned banana plantations. That's my answer.
