  • Hello

    Hey guys,

As I posted in 'The Bike Shop' (before I saw this forum ) I kept stumbling on this site looking for Lotoja stuff and now it seems like a good place to stick around.

I'm a Ute fan, but a University of Iowa student - thus the Hawkeye. Yeah, hard to figure out.

I know a few of your monikers from other boards...should be good.

    So - 'hi'.

I figured it was just another mascot the Utes had picked up along the way.

Welcome, good to have another Ute on board. If your dad is the proprietor of Scaddy's I will be doing all I can to suck up to you in order to possibly score some free food. Just want to forewarn you.

                        Wow - friendly place.

                        To answer a few questions...

I am in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at U of I with a Family Nurse Pracitioner focus. My wife and I love Iowa, it has been a great place to live. It is fun living in a city where football (and I guess wrestling - but I don't care) are life.

Nothing against M*A*S*H, but not where the name came from.

And yes, my dad is Wayne - the owner of Scaddy's. Though I'm the only one of the 5 oldest children that don't work at or manage a Scaddy's so sucking up to me isn't super effective.

                        Again, thanks all.

Have you been to Dyersville, IA when the corn is high? I made that trip 20 years ago; it's a great place to have a catch.

That is one great aspect of Iowa City, although it makes getting around campus near Kinnick a little tricky on game days. I used to live in coralville (not far from the mall) and getting to the law school was tricky.

Does the "big ass turkey leg" guy still sell his drumsticks on game days?

                              Soyez le bienvenu!

I lived in Bettendorf for a summer. Iowa is a nice place with great people.
