I haven't seen Moose's posts here, but if we can expect the same from him that he posted at MWCBoard, then we're not missing anything of value.

Maybe Falafel will trust Pelado, if he won't trust the rest of us.

Coach, do you have experience with Moose outside this board?
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I'm a rook around here but an old hat on UF.N. One phrase comes to mind in this matter:

"You knew what I was when you picked me up"

At UF.N we have had this on-again, off-again dilemma regarding Moose all the way back to 2004. We are way past 70 x 7 with this guy. This is a cool board with cool people that pretty much keep it civil, respect other's views and generally discuss ideas on merits. I don't see how adding Moose advances this community with what I've experienced.

I've read enough on the other boards to know.

                Ok.

Moving past the (lack of) individual merits of Moose, I'd like to turn to the apparent decision to ban him (but generally speaking, anyone) for behavior outside of this particular board. Was that in fact the basis for banning him? Or was there some other non-public behavior that lead to his ban?

If we have a known felon from Canada that wants to come live in the US, should he be allowed to?

I don't know. I'm not sure that's a great analogy. Has the felon completed his time? Is he on the run such that we're harboring a fugitive?

Perhaps you haven't read your own thread (I dont blame you).

This question has already been answered by EC members. In fact, UtahDan addresses it in the second post of the thread.

I cannot speak for the management of this group. However, I can speak as a manager of another group -- my history message board:

                        http://flattopshistorywarpolitics.yuku.com/directory

I have found it very useful to research new and/or potential new members. It is much easier to prevent entry than to expel a bad actor. The longer a bad actor is allowed to stay, the harder it becomes to get rid of them.

IMHO, this board would be better off keeping established bad actors like Moose out.

Actually, he didn't. At least, not the question I asked.

You are correct. I need to read your thread more.

Im conflating this with another similar thread that has some quote from The Moose's Whistle, wherein he says that he enjoys getting under the skin of others (or some other similarly sexually frustrated Buffalo Bill type remark.)

UtahDan and JaridinCedar are answering the questions re: appeals.

If they involve sensitive matters that shouldn't be discussed in the open, that's fine, but I'd at least like to know if that's the case (creekster, I know I'm not entitled to know).
