I've been lurking a little too long...

    An introduction:

I graduated from the Y in the 90's.
I moved east to learn and practice the healing arts.
Along the way had a few kids, which is now catching up to me.
Settled in the Pacific Northwest a few years ago, and now feel like I can finally breathe.
Enjoy photography and bike riding, and looking for ways to spend more time doing those.
Raised in church and still attending. But this past year has not been kind to my faith. As far as the church goes, I'm trying to sort things out. Not in a rush to make a drastic decision though.
I came across CUF a month ago, and enjoyed many threads. Hope to add to the discussion. But I'm a little intimidated by some of the senior members. 10,000+ posts ?!? Wow.

Only 9,999 posts to go. You can do it. You'll probably have to give up your other hobbies, though.

    Welcome.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I think everyone wonders about the prodigiousness of the alpha posters. But rest assured your contribution is welcome.

      Glad to have you here.

Welcome. Served my mission in Portland, and loved it.

Enjoy the Foyer. I think all Mormons (self included) are in varying degrees of spiritual crisis (which is (a) why we're so defensive and (b) why we cry a lot from the pulpit).

My testimony was demolished and I had to re-build it. It looks a lot different, but I'm definitely in a good place (not trying to preach, just letting you know that it can get better).

ALSO: How fast can you run the 40-meter dash?

I am a big fan on "not a utes" especially those that ride a bike. Welcome. Northwest as in the promised land of Oregon?

Thanks. I was in Massachusetts for the bloody sock. What a great run that was.
Do I need to make a certain time to stay in the forum? If so, I run a 4.2. Or am I missing a joke ?

Yes, I'm in Oregon. Loving it here, though during tax time I wish I would have moved north one state...

As one of the more prolific posters here, I say welcome, don't be intimidated and wuss out like taekwondave if someone disagrees with you. Stick to your guns, but recognize that this place has a lot of history and many people are friends in real life, so don't be surprised if stuff happens that you don't understand.

Also, I own the copyright to all use of bananas in avatars, so please don't make me have to hate you.

Also, disregard pretty much anything the following posters say:

              Babs
              Tim
              ArtVandelay
              UteStar
              BYU71
              and

                Welcome.

I also lived in and around Boston (greatest sports city in America) during that fabulous decade in sports, and now live in Washington.

What do you practice? It is always a good thing to have more doctors and engineers to balance out the overabundance of lawyers around here.

You say that like that's a bad thing.

Also, pay no heed to the talking banana. Lord knows none of the rest of us do.

Pathology. I was never much into 'healing' people, just diagnosing pieces of them.

Ah, I see. Looks like I'll need to be reading lots of threads. Thanks.

To be fair to TKD, there is a certain amount of hazing that goes on, especially when people venture well outside their area of expertise and/or the the realm of reality.
