JL - I find myself strangely attracted to you.....

KL - is it too late to claim that I actually "was kidding" or is the cat out of the bag?

Babs - thanks....at least someone understands.

(well, I do read the sports threads...I just don't have the same kinda time to kill this place like some of you do!!! I'm thinking someone on this board needs to hire me for the big bucks so I can have the same kinda time to devote to 'all things cuf'!)

Borg gets all of his sports information from SDSU's board.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Yes..they 'used' to have more up to date BYU info than CB (they really monitored all things BYU..it was funny). I have/am weaning myself from their board. No sense hangin out with the heart eating heathens anymore.

Welcome Welcome. We are always glad to have more Ute fans. Summerlin is a great area, plus it is close to Redrock Canyon. So what is your opinion on the LV taking water from Snake Valley?

To paraphrase some British hip hop, it looks like things have gotten a bit out of hand. You guys are very welcoming. I'll try and respond to most if not all of the questions.

I lurked for about 45 minutes before signing up. The cycling threads were just too enticing. Favorite posters? Was this question approved by my wife? Just seems too loaded for me to answer without collateral damage. I'll just say NorthwestUteFan since he's my sponsor. 2. I may have to get back to you on this one after a few weeks.

Yes. Yes I do. Actually I have a friend running that program and they finally seem to be seeing some success. Until they can get an upper hand on the carp, it's going to be a project that requires heavy management, which is less than ideal. If you want to discuss further, I'd love to.

Agreed. The fact that Ray Romano is in an upcoming episode hurts my insides greatly. I'm not sure if I hope the Will Arnett thing pans out or not. The writers have just gotten lazy.

So you are an ex-BYU fan with a degree from USU who now cheers for Utah and an active LDS Democrat? You should fit in here just right. Most of us are pretty screwed up too.
I really think Funshine Bear is my favorite. If I had to pick one. As for the second part, one of my most shameful moments in history was rushing the hardwood after USU beat Utah in Logan.

I'm sit in meetings regarding quaggas but I'm not involved in any of the direct management issues of them. Simply put, there isn't anything to be done.

When we moved into our new neighborhood, I told my wife, if I am unable to start riding my bike here, it isn't ever going to happen. It's starting to happen.

I do a little work on the Snake Valley fish stuff. This is such a complex issue. Is it the best idea? Absolutely not, but unfortunately, we don't live in ideal conditions with people working well together to make the smartest decisions possible. But our job is to supply the valley with reliable water and the Colorado does not afford us that by itself. I'm no hydrologist, but the data seems to show that the area could support some withdrawal. What I hold on to most though is that I've been very impressed with the environmental record and consideration of our organization. These won't be careless decisions.

I don't really have much knowledge on it. I took an environmental biology class during undergrad and the june sucker was constantly given as a local environmental problem that locals could do something about. I'd like to see more june suckers, less algae and less carp in UT lake, although I don't know why, as I don't live anywhere near UT, nor will I ever.

Gareth Keenan....answer the following question, but choose your response carefully as our future dealings on this site may depend, in large part, on your response to the following question:

Keenan O'Mear's song "Unfaithful Girl" features the lyric, "My friends all say I should walk out the door/they say she's a cheat/they say she's a....unfaithful girl." Diane Lane was decidedly unfaithful in the film Unfaithful, yet she was full of faith at the beginning of the Colorado Springs polygamist tale of woe The Child Bride of Short Creek. Her next movie Six Pack, filmed at the Dixie Speedway in my hometown of Woodstock, Georgia featured Kenny Rogers as a racecar driver, he drove so gosh darn fast, faster than Jesus according to Primus. The band Cake had their first big hit with "Going the Distance" about a racecar driver who keeps going the distance even after the race is over. One of the voices in Field of Dreams told Ray Kinsella to "go the distance" which led to him having a game of catch with his dead dad in spite of their liking different baseball teams just to spite each other. So, the question remains, if the prophet said we had to practice polygamy again, and Diane Lane isn't an option, what's your reaction?

For example (and yes, the alcohol is talking a little here), my rant against poor All-American and his private jet trip to my home town was written heavily under the influence of an equiv of one bottle of wine and two JD's on an AA flight to Sao Paulo. Whoops.

Sorry, AA. You're super cool, in retrospect.
