I would like to take a moment and express my apologies and gratitude.
For all intents and purposes, joining a forum like this kind of like being a new kid in a high school. You don't know the jocks from the druggies, and you say stupid things to test the water. After a few months, the "cool" kids aren't mean anymore, and you become comfortable joining in the inane banter.
I'm sorry for offending people in my rookie year, and hope that I can be a better citizen this coming year.
I've learned some things, I'm not sure exactly what, but I can tell that my association with CUF has broadened my view of the world, and my critical thinking skills are vastly improved. I've also learned that my personal view of the LDS church is in line with many people, but not everyone, and I appreciate those people as much as anyone. I view myself as a true believer, but at the same time, I don't think that the day-to-day operations of todays church will match the other side of the veil as much as we think.
I've enjoyed CUF as an outlet for writing. I started ...for the rest of us, not as a reaction, but as a place to write a lot about golf, and I didn't want to impede on the other golf thread. I think after 6 months we've found a good equilibrium between the two. With more than 5,000 page views, I'm satisfied that I'm entertaining enough that people check out the space, and come back to see what's new. I want to write in my style on more than golf, and think this coming year I'll expand my musings.
Anyway - I've enjoyed my time here, and am looking forward to my sophomore slump.
