Mr. Divine, there is nothing wrong with antipathy for BYU or being a Ute fan. I hope you come back. At least you are not biting the the teet of your alma mater like some people here.

I assumed Borderline Divine was a chick. I can't for the life of me imagine why a dude would include the word "divine" in his username.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I think BD is male. But I'm not sure.

Welcome. Unlike junkie, I am a big fan of your posts on utefans. If you can put up with a few moronic posts by cougar fans you should fit in well here.

Why not? Divine connotes godly. It's the root of Divinity.

Stick around, B.D. You have written some things that gladden a Ute fan's heart.

I have an avatar suggestion for you:

                ― W.H. Auden

"God made the angels to show His splendour - as He made animals for innocence and plants for their simplicity. But men and women He made to serve Him wittily, in the tangle of their minds."
-- Robert Bolt, A Man for All Seasons

"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."

I'm aware of the meaning of the word.

I wouldn't use the word in my username because whenver I hear it being used (outside of church), its being said by either a woman or a gay dude. I wouldn't want to be confused with either (no offense to either of those broad groups).

                        The mystery of my moniker

Not worth the discussion, actually. Ed McMahon used to introduce Johnny Carson's charcter of Carnac the Magnificent as being "borderline divine" and I always got a chuckle out of the phrase. Nothing more.

Also I am a raging hetrosexual male, as if that should matter on a faceless, anonymous sports board.
