I'm not sure how Fleetwood Mac's best-selling album from 1977 got you here, but whatever it takes, right?

Hopefully you are a stake president. We really need one here, as we have several who are bishops and counselors. Also, if you are then I suggest you call Mrs. Funk as the stake Sunday school president, and nikuman as the stake wine taster. BYU71 has had that calling, but he's been a chronic swallower and it gives him gas.

                Welcome, welcome

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

I wondered a long time ago why you never came over here, I had stopped wondering though.

If I know nothing else about you, this statement is enough to tell me you're a good man, or at the very least you have a discerning palate.

What is the difference between a duck?
                      (From Pocora, Costa Rica)

Right now the only place I can stand to be is in the computer lab at E.A.R.T.H. University because it´s too damned hot to just be walking around (Heat Index is 100F right now, and it´s dark).

So, you like ducks. Well, Sir Francis Drake died of dysentery off the coast of Panama where fish are abundant and so was Spanish bullion from Potosi. Dysentery is caused by one of several kinds of infections that are treated with antibiotic or antiamoebic drugs. Sometimes "quack" doctors would prescribe crazy remedies for the old "bloody flux:"
Burn live Crafishes in an earthen Pipkin well-closed, until they be so burnt as to be reduced to powder; of which give to the Patient mornings and evenings a Thimble-full or two in a convenient Liquor.
The flux capacitor, which is what makes time travel possible, came to Doc Brown while he was hanging a picture in his bathroom and hit his head. Being serious, and not mocking the situation, a 5-year-old boy was killed 40 years ago this week because he forgot to duck when Manny Mota hit a foul boul into the stands and it struck him above his left ear, killing him within the week.

According to a July 2008 LA Times article:
Former Boston Red Sox outfielder Jim Rice once jumped into the stands along the first base line at Fenway Park to scoop up a bloodied 4-year-old who had been struck by a line drive, then rushed the boy into the trainer's room. Doctors credited Rice's quick thinking with saving the child's life.
Jim Rice was recently elected to the Hall of Fame; since you´re a Braves fan, explaining your answer, does Dale Murphy belong in the Baseball Hall of Fame, or not?
"Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.
The rest of us rarely bother to think about our actions." --Solon

One of Wuap's better efforts in my opinion.

Negative. I took a few days to pretend like I am more handy around the home than your typical one-handed 13 year old girl. I actually did more than just mow and trim the lawn...boring. Time to get back to the internet.

Based on current Hall of Fame members, yes, Murphy should be in. Based on my own interpretation of what the Hall should represent and who should be let in, no, he shouldn't be.

Tony Perez, Jim Rice, Duke Snider...I can't make a valid argument for any of those players to be in over Murphy.

Murphy had more bad years than good years... and I mean bad years by comparing him against his contemporaries, not other HOF members. He wasn't consistently good enough during his career and he wasn't great for nearly long enough.
