Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste

    How did you find CUF?
Back in the day my board name was Detroitdad and I was a denizen of Cougarguard and the Crypt. I was disassociated from the Crypt because my good friend In Vino Veritas was logging in under my name and password and spying on the Crypt during the crazy days of Law School.
Last year, I had stopped going to Cougarguard much because of the fact that my boss had been fired for being a crazy psycho and I had to take over his job. So when I finally went back there in a spare moment I discovered that the whole board up and went. I really liked the format of CG and hated CB so I figured I'd give it a try.

What do you like about CUF?
I like the variety of topics, I like many of the posters, I like that there are fewer catfights.

What don't I like about CUF?
The smarminess of a few select posters. And the issue of fighting about board rules. Sometimes you have to take your medicine because you screw up, like I had to with the Crypt when I screwed up.

How did you choose your moniker?
I live in New Mexico and I loved the name of a band called New Mexican Disaster Squad. Also, I wanted to give Detroitdad a rest since Detroit is my daughter's name and as she ages she might not like to have my idiocy attached to her name. Nor my avatar.

What do you do (other than read CUF)?
I was graduated from the University of Alabama in Political Science and hold a Masters in Comparative Politics from there as well. Unwisely I chose to got to law school instead of pursuing a Doctorate, although someday I may finish the job. Now I am a public interest attorney in Roswell, New Mexico. I divorce many, many poor people who are victim's of domestic violence.
I am an active member of my local Democratic party and I coach my daughter's sports teams and watch my young son. I love statistics, demographics and economics. I collect and wear bow ties. I get in shouting and cussing matches in traffic every so often.

How many States have you lived in?
Indiana, Utah, Alabama, California, and New Mexico. I also lived in Belgium for 3 years as a youngster.

    What are your sports loyalties?
UVSU baseball(my nephew plays there), BYU football and basketball and Bama everything. Lakers with a deep and abiding passion (used to be a Celtics fan until I realized that so many white middle aged men loved them and switched over in 94-95'). Cleveland Indians for the last 22 years now.

What's your standing in the church?
I teach Sunday School and elders quorum. I also get a lot of ribbing because I have had long hair in the past, I wear bow ties, and I am a lefty.

Do you pee in the sink?
I have before. I do pee in the shower all the time.

When your kids get older, will you do drugs with them in order to teach them a responsible approach to drugs?
Hells naw. every family member that has imbibed more than a time or two has developed a serious problem with it. I sit and talk with families every day whose lives are destroyed by meth and alcohol and watch teh effect it has on their children. This is one issue I have no sense of humour about.

Are you looking forward to Wuap's welcome question and what do you think it will be?
Does he even do them anymore? A few I have wished would have been addressed to me-particularly the one about Cabinda. I would love to have some time to refresh the old International relations portion of my brain off and delve into that question more deeply.

Why are you so creepy? How long have you been lurking?
a]Because my wife is in love with a teenage vampire and I am just trying to keep up. b]Actually I think hulking is more accurate because my girth has just surpassed the 250 mark this week. And not because I have gotten more muscular.

I am glad to be on the board a little more often nowadays. I enjoy it quite a bit.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

May your stay on CUF be prosperous. Also, may you live long. Whatever.

Welcome. I am glad to have you here.

Note: I looked up "smarminess" to make sure you weren't talking about me.

I don't believe NMD and DD are the same people. They seem completely different to me.

I have always liked you, both as DD and NMD. Please stick around.

I was telling my daughter what a hobo was one day and about the depression era. So I googled hobo for a picture and this is what came up. I laughed so hard at it that I decided I must have it.

Welcome, although oit seems you have been here a long time. I like your avatar and it is a bit bothersome. Of course, what troubles me is the nature of your game. (excellent stones song, btw)

I like how these intro threads always seem to end up sounding like the new guy's first AA meeting.
