    How did you find CUF?

    Jarid

I got so sick of the strict rules at CB as well as the utterly crazy way the board is organized, so I wanted to build my own board (actually, I had already built it). I had an excellent plan about how to monetize it and promote it, but I just enjoyed it so much here, that I stopped pursuing it (plus, I got really busy). I already run one pretty big website (over 1200 users), so I just didn't have the time to add another.

What do you like about CUF?

Wuap, by far, is my favorite poster. I don't know why, but I always think of a large busted woman when I see DDD posting.

I like the thread format so I can read up on what has happened during the day at a quick glance, as compared to CB where, if you aren't on there all day long, you miss it.

What don't I like about CUF?

The fear that my coworkers might see me gazing at fiyero's avatar for prolonged periods of time.

Also, I really wish that Lebowski would install tapatalk so I could navigate better on my crappy BFE edge network.

How did you choose your moniker?

My brother made fun of me for stealing his moniker while I was a CB-phile (I didn't know he was using it, that is a story in of itself), so I tried to think up something that categorized me. I kinda got vilified on CB because I hadn't yet graduated. It is CB lore.

What do you do (other than read CUF)?

I'm a 1st year family practice resident. I want to practice traditional FP in a rural community (OB, inpatient, outpatient, nursing home). My wife wants me to do strictly outpatient in Provo.

I also spend tons of time on Google Reader, Google News, and posting on my website.

How many States have you lived in?

5--Illinois, Missouri, Texas, Utah, and Connecticut.

    What are your sports loyalties?

BYU anything. I love BYU football. I ran cross country and track at BYU for a year before I decided that I would much rather be a professional doctor than a professional runner, so I still really like to keep up on BYU track and cross country.

What's your standing in the church?

    In the EQP.

Do you pee in the sink?

It depends upon how tall the sink is.

When your kids get older, will you do drugs with them in order to teach them a responsible approach to drugs?

I already do drugs, does that count?

Are you looking forward to Wuap's welcome question and what do you think it will be?

That is the very reason I'm posting the intro. I've been looking forward to it for some time.

I don't know what he is going to ask, but I do know that only a penitent man shall pass.

Why are you so creepy? How long have you been lurking?

because I'm married. About 6 months, I guess.

      Welcome again doctorcoug.

I've seen you mention your own website before. I'm interested. What is it? I'll take my answer off the air (i.e. you can PM me if you would prefer).
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Can you give me a quick executive summary?

Good to have you here, DC. I especially like the fact that you seem to have a thick skin. We need more of that.

          Welcome, Welcome

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

After seeing Viking in action this is no surprise. I bet those two had some great fights.

Tapatalk is a free mod from vbulletin.org that allows iPhone native app browsing of vbulletin forums. It is low bandwidth and doesn't require pinching (which, even though I think it is nice to be able to do, pinching can be annoying).

It isn't going to make you any money, but it will give your users more options in accessing the board.

I really think the tapatalk developers are missing the boat of monetization. They should be paying admins to promote the app.

BTW, my brothers and I still have some big fights. Dinner with all of us is quite intimidating for the significant others. Even the lone girl in the family gets into it. I'm trying to convince her to come post here.

I'll extend a welcome as well. I like you a lot better here than I did on cb. The nice thing about the majority of folks here is that they are willing to allow a fresh start and to form new opinions based on your contribution here, and your reputation from other boards doesn't last forever.

                Welcome.

Welcome, doctorcoug. I am pleased you chose to use the pellegrino-approved template to introduce yourself.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Actually, doctorcoug is the third, i'm the oldest; atheistcoug is in the middle and for some reason, he and I had 99% of the fights in the house. Doctorcoug and I have never fought to my recollection.

we don't really fight, though. I honestly can't remember any fights with you...other than thinking you made a bad decision to become a doctor and not go to wall street...it was your destiny and you rejected it...speaking of, I was in Lazard's Paris office on Friday with their asset management guys talking about our fund...was thinking if you had just stayed, I would be talking with you.

I know, just the other day, I went through the drive-thru at Pizza Hut, and I thought to myself that my career in academia has been a waste; I turned my back on my destiny as a Delco RGM! And I think to myself, that I do this a lot; the world outside just goes and goes and goes and goes and I witness it all through the blinds of my window (3-4). I'm a little nervous....
