I've been putting this off forever, so here goes!
How did you find CUF?
HFN turned me on to this fine board, I believe it was after I favorably compared him to Obama on CB. I'm surprised the CB faithful didn't burn him at the stake for being a socialist.
What do you like about CUF?
Most of my favorite posters from CB and Utefans are here. It is a fun atmosphere where Ute and Cougar can coexist.
I also enjoy the religious and political forums, I feel like I've grown from reading them. I think my testimony has actually been strengthened here, strange as that might sound.
What don't I like about CUF?
I don't feel that smug tinge of moral and intellectual superiority that I get on CB and UF.N, you guys mostly come off as pretty smart. Even the ones who don't come off as being intellectuals are pretty bright. I have a theory that byu71 is the smartest person here. Whaddya think of that!
How did you choose your moniker?
I am a law student at the University of Denver and I am a Ute. DU Ute!
What do you do (other than read CUF)?
Try to keep up with my legal studies.
How many States have you lived in?
3. Grew up in Utah, mission in San Jose, CA, law school here in Colorado. I guess I could say 4 if you count the time I spent in basic training at Ft. Leonardwood, MO.
What are your sports loyalties?
Above everything else, I am a baseball fan. Thanks to the exploits of Super Mormon Dale Murphy, I grew up cheering for the Braves. That lasted until I came to the realization at the age of 11 that I hated the Braves and, due to the exploits of Super Juicer Mark McGwire, started pulling for the A's. The whole steroids scandal soured me towards the A's, but I still loved baseball. when I moved to Denver it was the first time in my life I was able to live where Major League Baseball was played. The magic of Rocktober '07 swept me off my feet and now I am a Colorado rockies team for life, it was the first team in my favorite spot with which I had a real connection. Get ready for Rocktober 2010, it's going to be EPIC!
My next great love is Utah football. I grew up going to the games with my dad, but I still liked BYU. I posted a TIC version of why I switched my loyalties on utefans a couple of years ago. I think I have mellowed out a little since then, so don't hold it against me. I love college football in general and enjoy watching just about anyone play.
I'm not a big basketball fan, but I do love and follow the Utes. I can't stand the NBA. We had some friends come over recently, (it was during the NBA playoffs, so it could have been anytime between February and August) and wanted to watch a playoff game. We turned it on and I realized it was the first NBA game I'd seen that year, that is how much I care for the NBA.
What's your standing in the church?
Active. I'm a ward missionary, mostly I just teach gospel essentials. I don't always enjoy church that much, but occasionally there is one of those moments that keep me coming back. I miss my last ward in Holliday.
Do you pee in the sink?
Only at restrooms in hospitals, bathhouses and Finland.
When your kids get older, will you do drugs with them in order to teach them a responsible approach to drugs?
I learned it from you, dad! I learned it from watching you!!!
Are you looking forward to Wuap's welcome question and what do you think it will be?
Wuap and I are already great friends.
Why are you so creepy? How long have you been lurking?
I don't know why I've put this off for so long, I guess I am sort of creepy.
