This is the most concise explanation of what I've experienced since my divorce that I've ever read. It's too good to not share, IMO.

            • I have a question that has been puzzling me. The only "Random Question" thread I could find was Art's, and I am sure he is busy preparing this week's, so I thought I would just put mine here.

Mostly, when I look at myself in the mirror, I think to myself "For being a somewhat short and bald 40-something, there is a fine looking man."

On the other hand, whenever I see a photograph of myself, I think "There is the ugliest spud that I have seen in quite some time."

So my question is, which is more accurate, the mirror or the camera? Please when you reply do not take into consideration that my entire sense of self-worth is hanging on the answer to this.

              • I am currently on a full train heading home. I am standing up. There is a guy right by me sitting down. He was flipping through some pictures of his girlfriend to show his buddy. On the way to the pics he wanted, I could not help but notice from my vantage point that he flipped through a couple where the young lady was stark raving naked.

I will definitely be considering this before I send out any more naked pics of myself.

You should ask him whether the pic on his cell phone is more accurate than his girlfriend's body in real life.

That is an excellent idea, but he got off the train before I could ask. Plus I didn't really want to disturb him in case he wanted to start flipping through pictures again.

                      • I absolutely hate it when people save seats at church with their scriptures and other stuff... but apparently not as much as this guy:

Man pleads not guilty to beating fellow Mormon in church parking lot

A Plain City man accused of beating a fellow churchgoer at a Mormon baby blessing and mission farewell pleaded not guilty Wednesday to assault.Wayne Dodge, 52, entered not guilty pleas to one count of aggravated assault, a third-degree felony, and one count of assault, a class B misdemeanor, during a brief hearing Wednesday morning in Ogden’s 2nd District Court.

Prosecutors charged Dodge after he was involved in an "altercation" that stemmed from a seat-saving dispute at an Aug. 30 service at an LDS Church.

A judge also issued a no contact order Wednesday prohibiting Dodge from contacting the victim or the victim’s family.

Weber County Sheriff’s deputies say the altercation started when a man visiting the packed Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting tried to reserve three rows of seats, including the spot where Dodge, a ward regular, normally sat. The visitor confronted Dodge, but he refused to move, according to police.

The two men later clashed in the parking lot, where Dodge reportedly punched the victim. The man ended up with a bloody face, according to sheriff’s deputies.

Weber County sheriff’s Lt. Mark Lowther said that after the fight, Dodge swerved to hit the victim with his car as he was driving away.

Deputy Weber County Attorney Ben Willoughby said Wednesday that Dodge’s next court appearance is set for Oct. 16. Willoughby anticipates the case eventually moving forward to a preliminary hearing.

LOL. My friend just got a job with that company and he is adamant that it is not an MLM. As soon as I heard "scented oil" I knew the truth.

The people that I see on FB talking about Doterra are the same ones to always seem to be sick.

We have three or four women in our neighborhood who peddle this and Norwex. My wife's cousin came up and gave their deal one Saturday night this summer talking about how the fancy oils changed their lives. I just can't take them seriously. Yes, I'm sure there is a place, and they have value... But not at the $100 per starter kit.

Side note: one of said women in our neighborhood who sells doterra posted a photo on Facebook of her daughter who had apparently dumped a full bottle of one of her $150 bottles of oil all over her. I felt sorry for about a half a second and then laughed.
