The "last movie I saw" thread
Has anyone seen “The Three Identical Strangers” Documentary (I did not see a post about it here)?
I have had co-workers recommend it. That is is well done and pretty shocking.
I am hoping PAC has it on his list to see and provide his review.
I am sure some of you older member may have remembered this story as it was national news back in the 80’s. The three identical twins separated at birth and adopted out.

mission impossible. i realize i'm the grumpy moviegoer and action movies by their very nature are far-fetched, but this was ridiculous. it was entertaining for the most part and action packed, but they went too far too often with with the ridiculousness and it sucked a lot of the fun out of it.
this is the first MI i've seen - perhaps they are all so beyond preposterous.Last edited by smokymountainrain; 08-01-2018, 07:11 AM.I'm like LeBron James.

I will say this...they one thing that the MI movies always do well is vehicle chase scenes. That car/motorcycle chase scene was fantastic.

Yeah, the car/motorcycle scene was great. The movie is a rollercoaster ride and fun entertainment. If you are looking for something a little more realistic try a documentary. I just watched this one recently and thought is was sort of interesting...

Can't believe you haven't seen any other MI movies. Let me suggest watching this video. If it excites you, then watch them. All, except for #2. Never happened.

I liked BlacKkKlansman that's based on a true story of black cop in Colorado Springs who went undercover with the KKK forty years ago. It's a cop buddy movie that has a lot of funny stuff combined with very serious social commentary. The clear message is that things haven't changed all that much since the '70s and earlier when the Klan was more out in the open. Spike Lee movies for me range from "sucks" to "really good", but this one may be his best. There's a very memorable scene that moves back and forth between Harry Belafonte's character telling a horrific story of black persecution in 1918, and a Klan meeting. And the final scenes are a real gut punch. I'd say they're heavy-handed, but then that's the point. No surprise, but it's clear Lee doesn't care much for Trump or for any of the Laura Ingraham America First types.

Anyone tried Moviepass? Right now it's only $9.99, seems like everyone should strike while the iron is hot. That deal can't last forever.
https://www.moviepass.comPart of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Three Identical Strangers - I dont remember seeing anything about their story when I was younger. Much darker than I anticipated."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"
