A question for you Utes playing down the rivalry's importance: Are you trolling or have you just lost the fire in the belly for the Holy War. I think about the Holy War and I feel nothing; my pulse stays the same, I feel like napping.

I alternate between enjoying it and being sick of it. More and more I am sick of it.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostA question for you Utes playing down the rivalry's importance: Are you trolling or have you just lost the fire in the belly for the Holy War. This is nothing more than a troll. Please ignore."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

It's an interesting question with many answers.

This could probably be quantified by taking the number of your BYU/rivalry posts and comparing them to your Utah sports only posts. I don't read the Utah only threads, but I'm sure based on this post and the number of your posts I read from you that are related to BYU, that you probably have thousands of posts in the Utah only threads.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostA question for you Utes playing down the rivalry's importance: Are you trolling or have you just lost the fire in the belly for the Holy War. This. Rivalry week this year was the worst ever, not because it was heated, nor because it was in September, but because it was boring as hell. Still, old habits die hard and on game day, the closer it got to kick off the more nervous I got. I enjoyed the beat down of the Cougs but there was nothing new in how BYU fans responded.Originally posted by LA Ute View PostI alternate between enjoying it and being sick of it. I heard Tom Holmoe say on the radio a couple of weeks ago that he would rather not schedule Utah in the future. He went on to say that having such a difficult team like Utah on BYU's schedule would make it extremely difficult to make it to a BCS bowl. He basically said that it wasn't in BYU's best interest to schedule Utah in between games with Weber St., Idaho, New Mexico St. and SJSU."Take it to the Bank"

Whatever the reason, it was a welcome change.I'm going to have to ask you two to resolve this.Originally posted by Flattop View PostI enjoyed the beat down of the Cougs but there was nothing new in how BYU fans responded.

I don't know about douchebaggery, but I did have a sense of de ja vu. It seemed like I had lived through it all before -- most notably, in 2008.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View PostI'm going to have to ask you two to resolve this.Col. Klink: "Staff officers are so clever."

Right. I think I remember you're the one who seems to be really, really bothered when BYU fans attempt to explain away your team's rivalry victories to make themselves feel better, right? Forgive me if I think that's a silly reason to bemoan the rivalry.Originally posted by Flattop View PostI don't know about douchebaggery, but I did have a sense of de ja vu.
