  • All of you calorie counters can suck it!

I hate you all. I joined FitDay too and I tracked today's eats. I was very good today knowing that I had to input everything into my FitDay log.

    Pre-workout snack
    Glass of OJ

    Breakfast
    Oatbran cereal
    banana
    rice milk
    orange

    Lunch No. 1
Monster salad (lettuce, carrot, avocado, tomato, red onion, cucumber)
    light vinagrette

    Lunch No. 2
    PB & Kumquat marmalade
half an apple (my daughter ate the other half)

    Snack
    cup of nonfat plain yogurt
    1 tbs kumquat marmalade
    a cup of red grapes

    Dinner
two burritos (whole wheat tortilla, brown rice, black beans, fresh salsa, fresh guacamole)

    Lots of water
two cups of Pero with rice milk

I'm still hungry but I have already consumed 2,474 calories, so I brushed and flossed and I am done for the day. This sucks. Ignorance was bliss.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

Sup's diet is WAY more interesting than mine.

My grandparents had a little kumquat tree and so I would frequently eat kumquats at their house. So when I saw a jar of kumquat marmalade on the clearance table at the health food store I decided to try it. It's pretty good.

I have a monster appetite in the spring so I've had days like this--add in dinner #2, though. It doesn't look like a bad menu to me, and I believe you're getting more of your daily RDA than I am. With your daily workout, unless you're trying to lose weight, I wouldn't worry about it.

The question is, how many calories do you need to maintain where you're at now?
            Not that, sickos.

Looks a little light on protein. I have used the Zone diet for a long time to get, ah, back in to shape when I ah, start to get a little, ah, flabby. It's built around "protein blocks" and the best thing about it is that I don't feel hungry while I am doing it.

I think she's eating so much because she's still nursing. How much longer will you nurse, Soup? I can't remember how old the little one is.

I came up with 1250 calories today, 600 of which was from various forms of ice cream. That can't be healthy.

You don't understand, this is not very much for me at all. I went to bed feeling hungry.

The real story is what I didn't eat.

I didn't eat any of the tapioca pudding we had for our FHE treat. Nor did I try a bite (or two or three or 12) in the morning while I made it.

I didn't put cheese or sour cream on my burritos.

I didn't grab a handful (or two or three or eight) of crackers throughout the day as a snack.

I didn't eat a slice of turkey or cheese while I made my daughter's sandwich. In fact the only thing I ate off of my kid's plates today was that half of an apple.

If I had eaten all those things, it would have been a typical day. So it's depressing to think of how many calories I had really been consuming every day.

I am nursing and I work out every day, so I do require more calories than the typical woman, but still...

I consumed 80 g. Protein was 11% of my calories. Carbs 66% and fat 23%. It was a vegetarian day for me. Not on purpose. I will be eating meat today though.

If I am figuring it out right, about 3,000. I want to lose 10 pounds though. I weighed 130 when I got pregnant with my third and I am 140 now. I am just over 5'6". 130 was a good weight for me.

No, I mostly do. I had thought that 2400 seemed a little low for your lifestyle. I was helping BBB out with the missing piece of the puzzle, as she (unaware that you're nursing) thought you were lamenting "one of those days" where you realize you've eaten way too much. For most of us that would be too much, but for you it's, as Mr. Secada would say, just another day.

Danny Elfman said it years before John Secada.

But Jon said it so much better. No big deal, though. Things are only as important as I want them to be.
