  • Where's Landpoke?

There was no "Wyo going to win" post last week and now this week where W-Y-O has a good shot he is nowhere to be found.

        I don't know, but I bet there's Scotch involved.

We need a BOLO for Seattle Ute also. Two of my favorite posters are AWOL.

I hear that if you type his name 3 times in a row on the internet, god kills a kitten.

He posted today in the In Our Lovely Deseret thread. Of course that you missed his forgetable post speaks volumes.

Here is a text landpoke sent me during the Cowboys-Utes game:

I know this is just pouring salt in your wounds after the tcu debacle, but utah has replaced y'all as the douchiest fanbase in america. Sorry, just being honest.
He made it quite clear to me that Ute fans have forever ruined his interest in participating on this website.

                  Way to go, Utes.

Hey, it isn't my fault. I wasn't there.

If BYU were having a great year and traveled to Laramie, I'm sure his opinion would be unchanged. As it is, since this will be the last trip either team ever makes, I guess Utah will forever be known as, in his mind at least, "The Douchiest Team In America". I guess that means Wynn can grow that mustache back again.

I don't know if it due to the tailings in the water or the pesticides in the air, but the people in this lovely state just don't know how to handle success very well. I think it also manifests itself with the "perpetually persecuted syndrome" that all fans seem to suffer from. Whatever it is, once they taste a bit of success, all fans (Cougar, Ute, Jazz) jump straight into "In yo' face bitch!" mode, presumably to retaliate against the perceived affronts.

He never got over the onside kick.

Damn you, Kyle Whittingham's bruised ego!

I don't blame landpoke for leaving this place. He always has to put up with the constant barrage of insults by Ute fans aimed at his school and state (sheep molesters, long, cold, boring, etc). When the Utes were invited to join the PAC-10 on a trial basis (first year free, IIRC) they seemed more excited about never again having to go to Laramie than they were about their new conference. He has had to put up with a lot of grief from you guys. On top of all that, he also has to live in Wyoming. :shudder:

True, but we're like crack cocaine. Once they've had a taste, they'll be hooked forever.
