  • So, President Monson is headed to Hawaii?

Rumor is swirling that President Monson is headed to Hawaii to make an in-home visit to Manti Teo...

    Is that true?

If it is, how is that not a recruiting violation? Tom and Manti did not have a personal relationship prior to Manti's recruitment, or so I would assume. Not by the NCAA standard, at least.

Any truth to the rumor? If so...wow. That would cause some people to pause for a moment, I am sure.

I'm sure Pres. Monson has better things to do than waste time going to Hawaii to convince a kid to play football at BYU or any other school.

Let me guess: this rumor is on CB?

Well, the rumor is that someone 'high profile' is going to be in the Islands to represent BYU at Teo's home.

The overriding thinking is that it is a GA, specifically president Monson.

Apparently, the GA is already on the Islands this week and through the weekend.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

"Pres Monson, we have some free time on your itinerary. We could go visit the youth, speak to local stake leadership, do some humanitarian work, or, given your age, you could simply rest up a bit this afternoon."

"None of those things interest me, frankly. No, I feel compelled to visit that linebacker. Manti Te'o is his name. I really think I need to go to his home and talk him into playing for BYU. We could use him at the BLUE RIVER SHOOTOUT."

What if it's Manti's birthday and nobody remembered but President Monson? When the Pres walks in Manti will shout with joy, President Monson, you remembered! Think about that before you judge.

                Consider the source, Port. Cougarboard.

Another possibility is that Pres Monson is going to the Te'o home to clear up recent CUF allegations that the U lacks diversity. If so, this one would mostly be MyBoyNoah's fault. He has been aggressively demeaning the U for the better part of 3 days.

If you don't believe me, can anyone else explain why there were exactly 15 "guests" online yesterday reading CUF? It all adds up.

I appreciate your deference to BYU, the storied program with the national championship. But truthfully, I think OU has a legit shot at keeping it respectable. It should be a good game until Max and JJ take over in the 4th quarter.

Well, that game will be murder for BYU. And it will be funny... a joke... because it will be BYU getting murdered.

Pressure will be given. Honor Codes will be signed. And commitments will be had.
