  • Ryan Toolson of UVU had 63 points tonight......

I have seen him play a few times and he can flat out shoot. He is another Jaycee Carroll type kid that BYU missed on. UVU beat Chicago State 123-121 in 4 OTs. Toolson played all 60 minutes. Also Chicago State had two guys with over 40.

Those numbers are meaningless. That's not real basketball.
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

      Check that. I didn't notice 4 OT's at first.

We have plenty of shooters. I do wonder how we missed out on a Toolson. Is he related?
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

I'm still trying to figure out how UVU won a game 123-123

Once you get to the 3rd overtime you have to go for 2.

I feel like Creekster, it was a typo 123-121 was the final score.

Hey, if you can score more than one point per minute, you're doing really well whether it's 40 minutes or 60 minutes.

Or if you can score 63 points on just 31 shots, you're doing really well regardless of how many minutes you played.

I shouldn't admit this, but that made me laugh really hard.

His bio says he is cousins with Andy and he is a nephew of Danny Ainge.

It also says that during his sophmore year he shot 96 for 99 from the FT line and his junior year it was a cool 95.1%.

How did we miss on this guy? I can't imagine he is that much of a liability on defense that the coaches would pass on him. I mean, after all we did hold onto Mike Rose for 4 years.
