Hey, wait. I just re-read that. It says that he dropped the Farm and that he is down to 3 schools. How do you know that BYU is the other school, as opposed to SC, ND, or FUCLA? I imagine you have a scout subscription, so it says somewhere in the body of the article?Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Yes the body of the article mentions the three schools as USC, UCLA and Notre Dame.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostHey, wait. I just re-read that. Their are no direct quotes from Manti dropping BYU, but Gman on TBS says he is 95% sure that Manti told the guy he was dropping BYU. Also most are speculating it was due to the recruiting fiasco/party.*Banned*

Well it doesn't help to show a depth chart to Manti and X showing them as 3rd string and showing them who they'd have to beat out.
If you saw subpar D-I talent like Shawn Doman and Matt Bauman ahead of you on the depth chart you'd be pissed too.
Sometimes recruits need to be coddled and it's something BYU coaches don't like doing.

This has made me reflect a bit on Bronco. He may overachieve with teams on the field at times, but it is mostly because he may not know how to relate well to the blue-chippers. He might be great at getting the most out of players once they are here, but can he get them here? He's done a good job at getting the 2nd tier LDS guys on campus, but he's missed out on a lot of the blue-chippers.Originally posted by RockyBalboa View PostWell it doesn't help to show a depth chart to Manti and X showing them as 3rd string and showing them who they'd have to beat out.

Not only that but Bronco has developed a reputation with several players on the current team as keeping many of the more talented players on the bench, and a lot of that has to do with Bronco being wedded to his love of the "Walk on" attitude.....well apparently those better talented players that are rarely, if ever, seeing the field are making that known with certain,,,,recruits.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostThis has made me reflect a bit on Bronco.
