  • No comment on Lost?

I just watched the premiere and I liked it.

My only comment is that another season has arrived and I still won't be watching any of it.

Gidget got me up to speed with Lost on DVD. Then I missed the 2nd half of last season and watched the premiere with Gidget the other night. To me it seems like it has totally jumped the shark. Granted I missed probably 8 episodes or so of last season, but I wish that this thing would kind of wrap up. It seems like they have completely gone away from what they set out to accomplish. I thought initially that this show would be more like the telenovellas from our friends south of the border. Now I am afraid that they're going to keep milking this baby and the resolution will be completely unsatisfying when the show is on its deathbed.

I liked it, but by the end it was as if we had come full circle: crash victims on the island with mysterious group out there trying to get them.

If it's me, I'm breaking into the hatch again to get some pork n beans.

          I thought it was good.

We need to get Bucko over here for his LOST reviews, because he usually does a good job.

I don't think that the show has jumped the shark perse, but now that we're in season 5 and there is a resolution on the horizon, I think fans will start to get the payoff they've been looking for. Although there will also be a significant cliff hanger at the end of the season to drive people nuts for 7 months again.

There have been many times when I thought the show's producers were going to cop out, but they haven't yet, so I'm looking forward to this season and seeing how it unfolds.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I agree. Plus it only has this year and next left.

The show jumped the shark right from the beginning. Still, it has potential to either be one of the better shows ever or one of the biggest wastes of time ever, depending on whether the writers actually have a point to all this. I'll probably wait to watch any of the current season until it's over.

I TIVO'd it and watched it last night. It was fun to be watching LOST again. With such large breaks, it's hard to keep engaged. I was a little confused with forgetting various plot points and details on characters. The time travel bothers me a little, but it looks like they're going to keep it within a certain range and not let it get out of control and change everything.

That's what I like, they've assigned rules and you cannot break those rules...i.e. go save Charlie's life, etc...

Didn't Desmond at some point go visit Faraday at Oxford already?
