  • 2 Mantis in Utah this weekend

    http://blogs.sltrib.com/byu/2009/01/...is-weekend.htm

Does this mean anything or is this a free trip to freezing cold Provo in the winter?

    It's called a courtesy visit.

Who wouldn't want to leave 80 degree weather to come to freezing weather? Seriously? I have thought about going to Hawaii this month, but I'm just not sure I want to go where it is so warm!

What does he gain from a "courtesy" visit? Especially if it's at the cost of moving his schedule around?

I don't want to overanalyze this as has been done on CB, but if anything, especially if he's likely to commit to BYU, his participation in the visit is much more important for BYU and its recruiting than it would be to Manti to maintain "courtesy". Why would he be worried about his effect on BYU's recruiting if he's going to USC?
If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

They treat you real well and usually set you up with hot chicks.

Take all the trips allowed Manti and get your bad self some BYU coed tail.

I wonder if Bronco invited him over to his house to watch 'The Phone Call' and drink some orange Fanta.

The Phone Call was filmed at the old Ripples Drive In in Edgemont, right on Canyon Road. I have been to that phone booth.

Of course no cookies, you will get in trouble with the NCAA if you give them cookies.

Bronco is a no-nonsence, obey-the-rules type of coach, unlike the fat man.
