Here are the picks from espn.com

Do they really think the Orange Bowl is going to pick TCU?

If it turns out that its Texas V Florida/Bama winner then the selection would go as follows. In () is how I see them picking

    Sugar (Florida/Bama loser)
    Fiesta (Oklahoma St/Penn St)
These replace the AQ that are in the MNC

Orange (Penn St/Oklahoma St) vs ACC winner
    Fiesta (TCU)
    Sugar (Cincinatti/Pittsburgh winner)

Basically it hinges if the Fiesta wants Penn St, Oklahoma St or Boise St. I think their order of preference is just how I have it. This is of course if OK St beats Oklahoma. I just dont see how the Orange bowl would want TCU?

Utah plays Oregon St in Vegas Bowl
BYU plays Boise st in Poinesttia Bowl.

I am pretty sure Oregon State will go to the Holiday. Even if they aren't the tie breaker for 2nd place they will go to the Emerald with the 4th pick. Sun has a no repeat clause. I don't see a scenario that pushes them to 5th.

It is shaping up for USC/Arizona to be a battle for Vegas.

I'd be awfully surprised if the Big12 gets two bids this year.

Penn St (sorry Solon) vs. TCU doesn't seem that exciting. I think a TCU/Cincy or TCU/SEC loser would be a good game.

Well if you are the orange bowl and the fiesta picked Penn St and you have Ga Tech already in the game who do you pick to play them among these teams?:

          TCU
          Cincy/Pitt winner
          Oklahoma St
          Boise St
          Virginia Tech

btw... keep in mind you didn't sell out your stadium last year and you want butts in the seats. Who among those teams is most likely to produce the fans.

Right. Exactly my point. Oklahoma State fans aren't going to show up in Miami. Not in the numbers the Orange Bowl needs. And there's no television market for them, either. They're the little brother team in a rather unpopulated state. And there's no good BCS buster storyline that'd you'd at least get with a couple of the other teams. I see it going ACC-BigEast or ACC-midmajor.

After the SEC Championship game, TCU/Cincy could end up being 3 vs. 4. Two bowls, four undefeated teams, one trophy. Possibly two parades

Why would the PAC-10 give up a spot for one of their bowl qualified teams? It is going to be the BYU/Utah loser vs. Arizona is my guess. If it is Arizona BYU, I pass.

BYUs a shoe-in for the Poinsettia Bowl this year. I sincerely doubt they'll get a 5th consecutive invite from the Vegas Bowl committee- in fact, I've heard several rumors that the Vegas Bowl wanted a break from the Y. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I was mistaken. I thought the champ of the wac played in the poinsettia bowl

They are going to come and support their instate rivals vs. THE Ohio State University? Very big of them.
