    Automated Media Embedding

    Falafel made the most recent request to update our media embedding tools:

    I just installed a new add-on that is supposed to be the ultimate in media embedding:

    Supposedly, you just type or paste the URL for media content in your post and it automatically extracts the media content and properly embeds it. It should work for ~160 different types of media:

    I removed the YouTube button in the editor to avoid confusion.

      Bummer.... Does it not work for images? I can't remember. Maybe this is my own FAIL.

        That's interesting. It looks like it even parses non-media URL's and replaces the link text with a title. Hmmm....

          I can turn that particular feature on/off. Let me know if you like it. I am not so sure I do. We can always use the link tool to change the link text.

                              It looks like TMZ doesn't have individualized urls for each video. That's probably the problem here.
