Why not? It's not the same position if the one at Baylor pays substantially more. Coaches are professionals, they're not fans. They should do what's best for themselves and their families.

The article I read indicated that he was more of an "assistant OC" at Troy. He assisted the head coach in calling plays - not a full blown OC. From a money perspective, I bet it's an upgrade. From a title perspective it seems like a downgrade and from an actual role perspective it seems like a lateral.

This surprises me. I thought with the likes of Allgeier, Romney, Rex, etc. we'd have some solid production coming back.

Bummer.

The real shame of it all is that this is in a year where no one would have been required to leave.

7 BCS programs on the schedule. Make a bowl game kind of year. Get some experience and the schedules start getting more sane moving forward- I think BYU seems to be settling in on a happy place of 4 games vs BCS programs a year rather than 6-7 which I think is crazy.

I admit to thinking much like Toto "frightened of this thing that I've become," but then I spent a lifetime breaking down how history would judge me for that.........Just trying to do the best I can to prevent this board from becoming like as Michael Scott would say: "bad at sports."
