I actually did watch the game in Lake Powell. I agree with Santos. The talent gap was glaring. Tanner also needs to up his game a bit. Fortunately the Utes aren't LSU.

I'd rather see points per possession. I don't really care how long it takes to score. In fact, I'd rather score on long drives. But I suspect Ty's offense is still low.

I think Detmer will figure it out. Afterall, wasn't one of his greatest assets as a player, his football intelligence? It certainly wasn't his size, speed, or arm. He managed to adapt to a long NFL career without a lot of other NFL traits like size, speed, or arm. I think he'll be fine... that talent gap though...

That conclusion seems reasonable as the team lacks offensive talent, and the coaching on offense is not up to par. As you, I don't see it correcting itself any time soon. Detmer is in over his head.
