The big 12 are a bunch of dumb dumbs. However back to the argument at hand. The purpose of the college playoff as it now stands is to put the top 4 teams against each other. It isn't to have conference champions play each other. Maybe it should be it it isn't, but that would be a problem since there are more than 4 conferences. TCU definitely looks like a top 4 team...

That is not what the main argument has been. This year we have four teams. Many have argued that tOSU did not belong. They clearly do.

If Saban loses this game will he spend his offseason continuing his campaign to ban offenses he cannot stop or will he spend his time trying to modify his scheme to stop the uptempo spread offense?

Maybe he'll actually work on developing some schemes that aren't so vanilla, so that his team can make the most of their talent. They run such simple stuff and they just have better athletes than 95% of the teams they see.
