    • Interesting...

The final vote was 12-3, per ESPN, with Clemson, Florida State and UNC voting against expansion and N.C. State — which opposed the expansion earlier this month — flipping to a “yes” and serving as the swing vote in the meeting of school chancellors and presidents.

So how long until Clemson and FSU raise enough money to jump to the SEC?

I don't know. I hear the payments on their athletics program debt is $18M/yr and it will eventually double. They were in terrible financial shape long before USC/UCLA bolted.

Right. I'd be shocked if the tax payers didn't end up footing most of the bill. Of course all California will do is continue to raise taxes.

They need to tax people that leave California trying to seek relief from all its taxes.

They’ll just increase tuition, which will result in all the foreign students paying for the mostly empty stadium debt.

              • I have never liked this whole realignment thing; yes obviously we have been a part of it, but point still stands. Guess just more of an old school type of guy when it comes to this, but it is the way it is, not gonna change now. I can see Cal and Stanford for academic purposes and they are decent in a lot of sports, but not 100 percent how much prestige if you will SMU will bring, but anyway.

As a Tar Heel basketball fan, must say gonna be strange that the Heels at Cal will be a conference game lol, smh.

Well, it solidifies the break. No hope now.

And what if the B1G and SEC pass on those schools?

Then there's no reason for them to leave.
