My wife is concerned about leaving our 16 1/2-year-old daughter at home overnight, which is somewhat funny to me since she's legally allowed to babysit other peoples' kids. There are some mitigating factors for her in particular because of some recent medical stuff, but it's still funny to me that my wife doesn't see that our kids are almost all grown up.
Is that your youngest??
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

My dad owned a construction company and had big projects in different cities. For much of my junior and senior year in HS my parents would be gone during the week and home on weekends. I was the youngest kid so I was alone. I actually loved being my own boss. I was also super dependable unlike some of you degenerates.
I'm still not dependable.

Now that LGA has been rebuilt and Newark has a shiny new terminal, IAH is tied with Denver for the worst major airport in the United States. They are both being significantly rehabbed but I think they are beyond redemption.
My parents first left me and my closest (in age) younger brother at home for a week when I was 16 and he was 13. They were taking my oldest brother to the MTC and took the two youngest kids with them. They would call around 9:30 or 10 each night to check in. After that call, I would head out until the early morning hours with my friends, school nights be damned. This would be much harder to pull off in the smartphone era. I do think 16 is plenty old to be left alone for a few days but not all kids can be trusted.
I won’t dispute your opinion on IAH. I’m currently there right now, chillin in the Polaris lounge, which isn’t too bad.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Cool. Only Polaris Lounge I've been to is at ORD. And after the fire alarm went off while we were there, we also checked out one of the ORD United Clubs before returning to the far superior (but further from our gate) Polaris Lounge.
I think we didn't go to the Star Alliance business class lounge at CDG because it was pre-security and we didn't want to risk missing the flight but we did go to a lounge near the gate - it was pretty bleh. The Brussels business class lounge was better than whatever we experienced at CDG but not nearly as large or as nice as the ORD Polaris Lounge.
On my way back from the Philippines, I also visited a couple different Star Alliance business class lounges in Seoul and the United Club (not Polaris) in SFO.
I believe that concludes my summary of business class lounges I've been to.

When we were in high school, my parents ditched my younger bro and me for a couple of weeks and went to Melbourne, Australia, to watch BYU beat CSU in football. They had a blast, and I only threw one rager. The next year, they did the Holy Land. No ragers thrown for that one.

Note to self: don't leave kids home alone when traveling to Australia.

This isn't football per se, but Andrew Gentry - OL, was the speaker at my grandson's High School graduation last night.
He did a really good job. I was impressed.
I may be small, but I'm slow.
A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."
