Do you think you might have a bias in this? What is the staffer was taken advantage of? What if Sherrone did something problematic? Why are you blaming the staffer???Originally posted by dabrockster View PostThe staffer in the UM scandal retains job and received a substantial pay increase from 2024 and 2025. Making $58K to $99K.

I am not sure how to respond to your question here. Bias has nothing to do with this. You have two individuals having an affair for multiple years as willing participants. HC is fired for his conduct. Other person involved who is employed by UM is still working. How is she not equally to blame???
I mean, we just saw this past year the CEO and HR lady for a big company caught on the big screen at a concert where he resigned as did she. There is no way she doesn’t have some code of conduct in her contract either. How does she even still have a job.

I still find employing urban Meyer as your head coach as more reprehensible…sjbh"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. Those seem like different situations to me. Sure they are both bosses with subordinates but in the latter case they are both in leadership positions in the company, so it is less of a ”taking advantage of the other” situation.Originally posted by dabrockster View Post

The head of HR may be concerned with advancing her career with this situation but you can really claim she would be worried about losing her job and her lively hood, unlike a lowly assistant who is probably a lot more concerned about putting food on the table.
So the former situation has a much bigger case for coercion than the latter.
That being said. I’m sure the head of HR had some kind of settlement to prevent the company from being sued.

I would be surprised if BYU takes on the debt.

This will cover KWhitt's advisor fees for the next ten years.

I thought she didn't have a job anymore, that he fired her and that is what precipitated the whole thing.Originally posted by dabrockster View Post

I will admit though that I haven't really followed it so I may be wrong.

Here's some more Moore details from the prosecutor's office:
if I were a betting man, I'd wager that some of those communications were of a threatening nature. The prosecutor also detailed that Moore had an "intimate relationship" with the woman he worked with for "a number of years" before she ended the relationship Monday.
The split prompted a flurry of calls and texts from Moore that the woman did not return. Moore is married to another woman, and they have three children.
Moore's actions in the wake of his former lover breaking up with him led her to go to officials at Michigan and detail their relationship. The school had previously investigated a tip about the situation, sources have told ESPN but could not prove it occurred.
The woman's admission and supporting evidence led the school to quickly dismiss Moore for cause, saying he violated both his contract and university policy. Michigan will not have to pay Moore the nearly $12.3 million remaining on his deal because he was fired for cause."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

Of course they are going to give her a job. The school is vulnerable to a sexual harassment lawsuit and will lose. She should sue Michigan's ass off.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
