I'm not starting a game thread yet, but Utah kickoff announced for 6 pm MDT. Best of both worlds for me. We get our night game which by the numbers gives us the best win probability but I don't have to get home at 2 in the morning.

Finally got a 1:30 pm game (Oct 18 at Iowa State). I'm hoping the Texas Tech game the following week will also not be a night game. If we were able to survive unbeaten until Tech, I think it would either be the primetime evening slot or the big noon slot. Not sure which one I would want less for a road game at Texas Tech.

I drove through it once. I have no memory of it one way or the other but we didn't stay over. My kickoff wishlisting was mostly for what I think would give the best odds to our team as I don't plan on traveling to the game. However if it was an undefeated top 10 matchup I would be quite tempted.

I've stayed in Lubbock before. Lots of cotton fields and the Buddy Holly statue is about all there is to see. I've also been to Clovis NM where Buddy Holly recorded some of his hits. There is pretty much nothing to see in Clovis. Even the Clovis Rock N Roll Museum, which isn't much in the first place, is closed right now for construction.
