Ya'll are very much worried about the wrong things right now. I sure hope the team is more focused on the U than the fans are. This game is going to be a slugfest. I would love to see BYU dominate, but BYU does not have a history of dominating this game, even in years when they are clearly better. Hope that changes this year, but I think it's going to be a one-score game.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I agree with JL. I said before if we keep utah defense from scoring we win. If we actually win the turnover battle we win by multiple scores. Once the rivalry losing streak built up, you could feel it in the air each game. Their coaches, players, and fans expected to win. Ours thought we could but were always just waiting for everything to go wrong. That dynamic doesn't exist anymore. KW will do everything he can to resurrect it for this week but he is attempting it on a broken team with a QB room he has screwed up beyond repair. They have a great defense as always so they could theoretically stay in any game. But the odds are not in their favor.
We all need to sack up and expect to win this one. Utah is certainly capable of winning but fretting about past seasons when we couldn't win big against utah even when we thought we were better is almost as silly as fretting that KY won't get past the first round of the tourney this year because BYU always has struggled in the first round. The past doesn't matter when the dynamics that led to past result have changed.

You all are worried about the wrong thing.
I'm going to the game. Where can I park nearest the stadium that Mitt built?Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I'm not sure how to predict this one. In the past, Utah won the battles in the trenches. Last time we played, BYU beat them at their own game and won those battles. And while Utah still has stout line play and a good D, BYU has done pretty good this year as well. I don't see much separation there and BYU will play assignment sound defense. BYU's D is going to feast of turnovers. BYU by 21!

Caveat is if BYU has the game in hand the place could empty out and you won't fight traffic as much as would be the norm.
