I think league misunderstood the timing of the term "contract year".

In multiple ways. They were under the false impression that you could only negotiate a contract when the current contract is up.

The Texas Tech and Baylor games were there's to lose and they did. I hate the Pac-12.

It's funny to me me because SEC honks have scoffed at Oklahoma and Texas joining the conference and said how they won't be able to compete with the likes of Alabama, LSU, and Georgia. Seems like Texas will be just fine.

Edit: and on cue the Texas fans begin an S-E-C chant. Ha. The sarcastic SEC chant is my favorite when it is able to be used.

It will be sad when they start to use it in earnest.

Baylor is a bad team.

Utah with its 3rd string QB, 2nd string oline, 2nd string DTs, and missing our best LBer is a bad team too, but apparently good enough to beat Baylor.
