And if scheduling proves to be more difficult than BYU projects, it may give them the "flexibility" to travel to RES again in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020....

League play across the NCAA is generally completed in either the second or thir saturday in November. Depending on that year's calendar (when the first week of games is in August) "Rivalry Week" is either the Saturday before or after Thanksgiving. Utah will be free to play the game then. They're blowing smoke to rile up the Cougar fans...

Has that happened? we'll see. Moreover, kidding aside, as I said above, late season scheduleing could be more helpful or more harmful from year to year.

So Boise is taking BYU's schedule and BYU is taking Boise's? How has that worked out for the Broncos to be included in the BCS?

Playing the MWC, BYU usually faced a ranked TCU or Utah team in late October/early November. This provided an opportunity to make up for an early loss and move back up the polls.

Last year for example. A tough loss to FSU dropped them 12 spots in the polls. A win against TCU would have put them right back in the top 10.

How is this going to happen when they're playing service academies and WAC teams in October/November?

Most likely true. in fact, the rvialry with Utah will most likely be maintained if BYU goes independent, it seems ot me.

I don't think it would be feasible to schedule all of them, but if they got two of those teams to play them annually and then alternated so that every year they were coming back east then that would be awesome.
I'd be all for getting exposure with more conferences.

    amen bro, amen

truth is, I think independence will actually make it possible to have more games on the east coast.

EDIT: I'm not supposing you're suggesting we schedule all those in the same year.

I'd be very happy if we could schedule half of those teams for home/away games over the next five years.
