Is the Big 12 even a conference? I don't know what you call a mess like that. It's not a "conference" as we've understood that word in relation to college football at anytime in the past. How can a championship mean anything where half the teams don't play each other, teams are crossing two time zones to play on the road.

Good point. Why in the world are USC and UCLA joining a "conference" in which they have to cross 2+ time zones? Are they really that desperate to leave the PAC?
