An OB insider explains what is going on with BYU and the Big 12...
Sunday games has never been an issue in getting BYU into the conference. The issue is FSN's stance against allowing BYU to rebroadcast their games on BYUtv the day of or day after BYU's games are televised by FSN. ABC & ESPN have already signed off on it, but the hold up is FSN. I think in the end, BYU will cave on that stance and join the Big XII. Why is it so important to rebroadcast the game the "day of or day after" the actual game? Is it just because of fan awareness that the game is indeed being played and want to see it before the find out the outcome?
Or...what? Is it THAT big of a deal?
And...why would FSN even care? They get the same amount of money, eyeballs watching it live...etc. What would be the detrimental factor to FSN if BYU rebroadcastst the game the same day a 9pm?"Newton's First Law of Motion: ...things at rest tend to stay at rest.
