Let's say that does happen, and who knows what is going to happen over the next 24 hours; I'm starting to get expansion fatigue.

Anyway, BYU would end up in the Big 12/MWC west with its old MWC/WAC mates plus BSU, but in an AQ conference and one with Kansas basketball in the east. Not bad.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

    • The real winner is all of this is going to be the Utah St. Aggies.

Even if BYU doesn't go to the Big 12 in one way or another it is just a matter of time before the MWC gets its own BCS auto bid. Of course, if Utah is out of the way there will be one less speed bump to a BCS bowl for BYU every year.

Honest question: What does it mean to be "geeked" about something? I've heard this lately and I'm not sure I understand what it is supposed to connote. Can you please explain this term for old farts like me?

Hey, Live, you're torturing yourself. This is a blasted circus and none of us can do anything about it. Whatever happens, life will go on. I am going to go walk my dogs and watch TV for a while. (But I know I will be back.)

Why so glum? Be happy for the utes.

The big 12 will not give up the championship game and they need 12 for it. Texas never really intended to leave; they just wanted more rev share and their own tv, which will happen.

Adding BYU and TCU at lower rev share is a win for all. Stay cool.

I know, but I just can't stop. It's an utterly fascinating circus. I ama major pessimist by nature cause it will hurt less if I expect the worst. If we don't get the worst, then I will be that much happier.

It's my defense mechanism for better or worse.

If that's how it ended up I would be ecstatic for the Utes and Cougs. If just the Utes get the big reward, and BYU is left to wallow in the MWC, how can I be happy about that?

I agree. I find myself hoping there aren't new posts when I refresh or open CUF for the first time. I hope the decisions truly are made Monday or Tuesday, this is starting to be taxing.

This is old news, nothing new here. Just get comfortable with the idea that BYU is in the same conference as TCU and BSU. It is what it is. I have a couple of Ute friends who have been texting trash talk for the past two days. It will happen. Just brace yourself for the taunting and be at peace with yourself. All you can do at this point.

                                They won't be left.

Even if that happened, Boise is a better football program than Utah.
