He is only a jr and has about 40 offers right now. He will go wherever he wants, him and Heaps are best friends so BYU is near the top of his list right now. But I do not see that lasting long.

Hey, did we ever hear about the fight where Whit's wife was assaulted and some photographer had his camera broken. or is that a non-issue compared to hall's hate speech (which I believe is against the law....he could get sued by the federal government).

I just finished watching Lakewood v Edison. Also in HD.

Mater Dei and Servite also broadcast in HD.

I wonder what the recruiting pitch is for MWC schools....hey, come to our school and you can play on a channel that many don't get and be broadcast in grainy low-res.

15 of 25 for 244 and 5 tds. That is solid for Heaps as he wins his 3rd straight state title.

40-2, three straight state titles. Not a bad HS career.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I am trying to take a 3-4 year approach to this kid....but with stat lines like these, it is hard to not get over-anxious.

Regardless of what happens next season, Heaps obviously has the skills to be the next great Cougar QB.

Thank goodness he is sticking around Provo and not taking off for 2 years.

One loss to Oaks Christian (very respectable loss). Which was the other loss? I don't know, btw. Was it a good school?

I think he only had four TD passes but he did run for one. I was more impressed with his arm tonight than I was against Oaks Christian. He had a better arm today than Hall has ever had. He's not as good as Hall but he has better physical tools and it is obvious.

They lost to Bothell earlier this year, which was his first loss to a WA state school. At the time Skyline was #1 in the state and Bothell was #2. They met again in the semifinals, this time with the rankings reversed, and Skyline won. That set up a rather anticlimactic championship game as either team was going to walk over Ferris.
