Good for him. Props to Max. And now I wonder how many of his fans who said that they agreed with his comments will be man enough to apologize also?
I still agree with them. No apology necessary and I think Max was pressured to apologize if the things that happened to his family had happened to mine I would have said a lot worse things than what Max said.
I will not apologize for agreeing with him. Apologizing was a bitch move on his part and tarnishes his legacy.
I wonder if his bowl game status was on the line.
"The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."
"They talk about the economy this year. Hey, my hairline is in recession, my waistline is in inflation. Altogether, I'm in a depression."
"I like to bike. I could beat Lance Armstrong, only because he couldn't pass me if he was behind me."

My guess is the defenders of the faith will have a problem with it just like the Eagle Forum had a problem with the Churches statement on gays rights in SLC.
It's a tad too defensive, but at least it's an apology.
I like that he put it into context and noted that the behavior was limited to a specific group of fans. At least I understand what was behind his initial comments.
I think anyone would take issue with abuse of one's wife and family.
Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
Moved upon by the sincerity of Max's contrition, I'm going to remove my victor's avatar tomorrow and return to honoring a birthday celebrant and, extending the hand of fellowship to Fiyero (what else would the hand be used for?), tomorrow's birthday honoree happens to be Elisha Cuthbert.
