are you pulling for messi or Ronaldo in the World Cup?
You and mpfunk root AGAINST Lebron because he's the best basketball player in the world and I root FOR Lebron because he's the best basketball player in the world.

You think that your decision and mpfunk's decision makes more sense than mine, but to me they seem pretty similar.

I like Lebron. He is a classy dude. he is currently the best player in the world, no question. But he isn't a laker, so I don't cheer for him.

i will always cheer for the lakers. What team are you going to follow in the next several years once mileage starts taking its toll and Lebron passes the torch? I guess both you and I will have to wait to see which team you like next.

This hasn't been a good season for you. Miami lost the nba title, the Yankees and cowboys aren't great, the Detroit red wings are mediocre, and Alabama couldn't win the national championship. At least nadal won the French open.
        Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Sorry you won't get to see 4 in a row.

also sorry you won't get to see 3 in a row.

              I am crushed.

Don't worry though, I saw three in a row twice when I was a Bulls fan.

lol. I don't doubt that is true. You and cardiac can reminisce about the good old days when you used to be bulls fans and New England patriots fans.

                  • Well I was wrong SMR, I thought LBJ's greatness would be enough to overcome. Let me know when you are in Eugene, lunch on me.

I know you're good for it. I'll keep you posted.
                      I'm like LeBron James.

                      • I've never understood all these supposed rules about which teams one should or shouldn't be rooting for. It's sports! They're games. Mere entertainment. Cheer for whoever you want.
                        PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Junkie spelled the rules out a while back in a clear and easy to understand post. Maybe that could help.

                          • Congrats to the Spurs! Great to see Timmy and Co. get another one. Nice to see Kawhi get MVP, but it was really Diaw. Funny that everyone said the Heat's weakness was size, but it was the smaller SA lineups that totally ripped them apart. When the Spurs played Splitter the Heat actually had a chance, but once they removed him for Diaw they were done. Too many passers, too many floor spacers, and ball movement too hot to keep up! Good stuff.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

This is, perhaps, the greatest sports post in the history of this board. In fact, I think WhenIWasaBullsFan.com should be the next name of this website.

Yep Diaw was great -- he's like that fat middle-aged guy at the rec league that doesn't look great but gets the job done.
