Goodell made $30 million last year. That seems insane to me. Just one more reason for the players to hate him.

I know everyone is busy fellating Peyton Manning and rightfully so. But Philip Rivers is quietly putting together a very elite season. 1200 yards passing, 11tds and 2 ints in 4 games with a qb rating of 118.

It takes several ingredients to bake a cake. Players are important, but so is coaching (as evidenced by the numerous examples above). Pete Carroll in Seattle is a good example. They are better off with him as a coach, but Pete Carroll in Seattle is also better off than Pete Carroll in Buffalo. Bill Belichick (sp?) with the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots is another example.

Or the way San Fran turned from a perennial loser to one of the top teams in the league under Harbaugh, primarily looking at the improvement of Alex Smith.

But, you know, coaching means dick.

    Disagree completely.

Denver needed someone to rebuild their slow, out of date defense.

    Fox was perfect for that.
