I'm not cheering for the cubbies, but I hope they win since they are playing those bastards from St. Louis. I guess I'm now stuck cheering for the hometown team to win it all...although I'd love to see the cubbies make the WS, win 3 games and then lose in game 7
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

    • Have you Cubs fans ask Siri if you should've bet on the Cubs to win?

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

        • I don't know what to do with myself. I'm kinda giddy, kinda jittery and kinda sick to my stomach all at the same time.

The Cubs are headed to the NLCS!

              • I find myself pulling for teams that have had these huge droughts in championship years.

I pulled for the Red Sox to win years ago when they were in a similar position.

I hope the Cubs can pull it off.

According to Vegas Insider, the Chicago Cubs are now the favorite to win the National League Pennant at 3/2, and the World Series at 5/2! This comes shortly after taking a 2-1 series lead in the best of five vs. St. Louis. The Cubs set a postseason record hitting six home runs, with six different players, at Wrigley Field … on their way to a 8-6 win last night.

Now they’re favored to go all the way … it would be their first World Series title in 100+ years. The city of Chicago is ecstatic.
