  • 2021 PGA Championship - U Pick 'Em Game - General Chit Chat

Welcome to the US Open warm up major - otherwise known as the PGA. It's at Kiawah Island.

We're going to play two games inside this Championship - but all you have to do is pick your player for each day - and I'll do the rest.

Game #1 - Pick a person each day - your score for the day is your score for the day. If your Sat Sun guys get cut - pick anybody - you want. You might even pick a dog on those days - just to get a feel for who's playing well and sub them in on Friday night. (same game we've been doing)

Game #2 - Pick your man for the day - and his odds of winning will be noted. I'll think of something fun - unless one of you guys comes up with a clever way to use the odds in a game situation. We can work on it till Wednesday night.

    Game #2 Rules

You already picked your four (4) players in game #1 - now in game #2 you have $500 to bet on your four (4) players. Wager the $500 any way you want on your four - and if you picked the winner - their odds will be multiplied by your wager - and you will win game #2. If you and someone else picked the same player to win - the tie breaker is who bet the most money on the eventual winner. If none of your picks win - you get zero dollars and you lose. The only way to win game #2 is to try and pick the winner from four (4) players and decide how you want to divvy up the amount each person is wagered with.

    Make sense?

    $500 to bet.

You're wasting money on Rory - I've already got $250 on him - and would beat you in a tie breaker.

Look at Chrisenrut - playing the game - chooses a sure bet not to make the cut - and waits to pick up the hot hand which will choke on Sunday.

Rose is a good 40-1 bet IRL.

If you bet >$250 on Rory - you would force me to make a move.

I'm sorry I didn't play this round. Its a soft protest regarding the format of Game #1.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Yeah we’re way off course on these things. We need to get back to our U pick em roots. I took one glance at the proposed games and was like

Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

You and Donut can pick the format for the US Open next month.
