Anybody watch the stage this morning? After the finish in Firenze, they cut to a helicopter shot of the ponte del vecchio (sp?), the famous bridge in FLorence, and they show a bunch of pweople standing on it gawking, as tourists do in Florence, and the british announcer, who is lucky he has a job talking to Americans, says somethign like "I bet there are a lot of American toursits on the bridge who are completely ignorant that there is a world class cycling event taking place on the outskirts of the city."

What a putz. We qre inflcited wiht this suvbstandard talent and then he has the nerve to insult americans (ewven if he is right).

a sort of boring and predictabel stage, but it is amazing how Cavendish is simply faster than anyone else. IT showed today.
    PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Limeys hate us for our good oral hygiene and first world orthodontia.
There's no such thing as luck, only drunken invincibility. Make it happen.

Tila Tequila and Juggalos, America’s saddest punchline since the South.

    Yesterday was Thursday, Thursday
    Today is Friday, Friday (Partyin’)

    Tomorrow is Saturday
    And Sunday comes afterwards

I would like to see a TT in the TDF like they had at the Giro yesterday. Creek do you think Leipiemer can do it?

Idont know. It seems unlikely to me. I scanned the profiles fo rht enext couple of stages and they look good for both Di Luca and MEnchov. I jst dont see him putting any time into either of thsoe guys on those stages.

I haven't looked at the final stage ITT into Rome, however. If ti si falt and not too technical, he may have a chance. Maybe it will eb like a mini '89 finish except Menchov is not nearly as good a villain as Fignon. What do you think?

I think the Italians really like an Italian winner so not only are you fighting Di Luca's team you are fighting every Italian team. I would love to see LA pull out some super human pull and take Liepeimer with him for a big stage win but if I were betting I would put money on Di Luca.
