Barcello having a rough go. USF raining threes now. Sigh.

Way too many turnovers and poor shooting.

DirecTV is showing the game is on ESPN2, not ESPN. Not sure which is correct.

According to ESPN's BPI tool as of today:

BYU has a 59% chance to win tomorrow at San Francisco (2.5 point predicted margin)
Their projected conference record is 10.2 - 4.8
They have a 1.8% chance of winning the regular season conference championship (seems high)
Chance of making the round of 32 - 35.5%
Chance of making the Sweet 16 - 12.8%
Chance of making the Elite 8 - 4.7%
Chance of making the Final 4 - 1.5%
Chance of making the Championship game - 0.4%
Chance of winning the Championship - 0.1%

I'm kind of surprised that Gonzaga is third on their list of likelihood of winning the title (11.7%). They trail Baylor (23.1%) and Iowa (14%). Their game against Baylor got postponed. They beat Iowa by 11 on a neutral floor.

strange game. Zero free throws in the first half. In the WCC? WTf?

As for the meltdown, it was definitely a meltdown, but it was a bit weird in that it didn’t really feel like it as it was happening. Maybe it’s because BYU didn’t really shoot lights out during the meltdown.

As with pretty much every SMC game, it was a slog and painful to watch, but BYU's smothering defense (Hail, King George!) in the second half was pretty amazing. This isn't a great team, but i'm really impressed by how Pope has everyone working extremely hard throughout the game.
